39 kitchenaid pro vs artisan
Target has the Kitchenaid Professional 5QT on sale today for $300 (normally $420). Wirecutter recommends the Artisan series. The differences I see are the Artisan is a tilt design while the pro is a lift, and the pro is a little bigger/heavier. Does it just come down to preference on tilt/lift or is one a better option? Hello, I found out that I can either limit the head wobble of the tilt-head mixer, or I can pass the dime test. But not both. I was wondering if someone had the same problem and how did they fix it. I see that the problem is that the hole for the lock is just a tiny bit larger than it should. Maybe layer inside the hole would limit how much the head can move.

I bought a Kitchenaid Pro 5 qt mixer a while back, and I have a question. While I love the power of the mixer, it seems excessively loud. Kitchenaid pro vs artisan. Trying to decide on which stand mixer to purchase and was wondering if anyone here had any opinions on either the KitchenAid Artisan mixer or the Cuisinart Precision Master mixer. Would be most interested in hearing from those who have used both mixers, but all thoughts are welcome! This would be my first KitchenAid. I just ordered an Artisan 5 Tilt-Head with plans to use once or twice a week for kneading bread dough and or pizza dough. I have since been reading and seeing mixed reviews for this use (I assumed because it was sold with a dough hook, it should be able to handle dough rather easily). I only planned to do one loaf worth of dough at a time (whole grain, fresh milled flour), but it I am starting to get the sense from my reading on forums and blogs, that dough in ... I’ve read that the Pro 600 model is better suited for dry doughs such as pasta and bread due to the metal gearing and higher wattage. However, I’ll really only be cooking for one and really don’t do too much baking. I see myself making .5-1 pound of pasta dough 2-3 times a week and maybe a loaf of bread per week. I’m leaning towards the Artisan models, and ideally the mini just because I don’t really ever bake and I don’t see myself making more than 1 loaf or 1lb of pasta at a time. Would the ch... Everything is perfect except one thing, it doesn't lock in place. I tried the dime method but if I adjust the height of the head to pass the dime test the head doesn't lock and wobbles. I have tried to find the sweet spot for locking the head, but no matter how much I screw/unscrew the adjustment screw, it won't lock. The lever mechanism looks fine, so can't figure out where the problem is. Anyone can shed ... Hello fellow bakers, My husband has so generously decided to ‘surprise’ me with a birthday gift of a stand mixer. I’m super excited as this has been on my list for a while. I’d like to know if anyone is aware of any difference between the 5 qt Artisan and the 5 qt Artisan Design stand mixer. From what I see, the design has a glass bowl and artisan has a SS bowl but apart from that there is no significant difference. I see that the Design is on sale so I really want to buy that one, hence would...
